Believe it or not, there are still people who make plans to backpack through Europe each summer. Most of these people travel with another person and some travel in a group. To keep the trip low cost, they won’t rent a car but instead use the public transportation and purchase a rail pass to get from one country to another.
Another way to backpack for less is to stay in a hostel instead of a hotel and they say this is part of the adventure. Hostels can be found listed online in a directory and this is great help for these travelers to plan their journey. If they will be visiting the UK, they can take the ferry from France, Spain or from Holland.
If their trip will be a one-way trek, they will then search for cheap flights online to get them back home. With some basic information, they will be booked for their return, to where they began. The following summer they might do the same thing but take a different route to see other countries and land marks. If you can live out of a your luggage for a few weeks, you too can be a European backpacker.
