If you could see this planet from space, you would see just how much water there is compared to land. Seventy percent of the planet is water and that means we have more water than land to explore. For those who love the water, they might spend their vacation on the water on a cruise or make plans to snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, sail or surf. There are so many water sports to choose from, enjoy the ocean is something you can spend all day doing.

Beneath the surface lives all kinds of amazingly colorful fish and creature who make the coral reefs their home. It is unfortunate that more and more species are becoming endangered and the Giant Pacific Octopus is on that list. This interesting marine invertebrate is found today only in the North Pacific, from the California coast to Japan. Along with it on the endangered list are the red and green abalone, the common squid, shrimps and seahorses.

Some aquariums that exhibit endangered species might have loans to allow other aquariums to display these fading species. Visiting an aquarium near you is the next best thing to actually being in the water as you get to watch and admire our underwater inhabitants.

If you have been like so many of us, and have been working really hard lately to keep everything together, you may be due for a little holiday break. Indeed, there are few things that are going to be more effective in recharging your batteries than a little trip somewhere special. The great news, is that even if you have not yet booked your 2012 holidays it is not too late to do so.

Your first step is to figure out where it is you would like to spend your vacation. You might be looking for some distance, and seeking to travel overseas to someplace special. Or, maybe you simply want to rent a room or a villa in your home town, and take advantage of dropping out of normal for just a little while. A successful vacation is not often going to be measured by the distance you travel to get there, but it may play a part in how you feel about its overall success.

The main thing in planning a good holiday break, is going somewhere that you can relax and recharge you batteries. Again, this is going to be specific to you – some might long for a mountain view and some skiing, some might be aiming for the beaches, and still others might seek out a theme park for a little extra adventure. There is no right or wrong in what thrills or chills you, but knowing your preferences makes a holiday plan much easier to execute.

When you hop on a flight and head to unfamiliar territory for your holiday, there are plans that need to be made ahead of time. You will book accommodations that suit your travel style as well as your budget so your room is reserved and waiting for you. You might choose to use the public transportation for getting around and you might rent a car so you have freedom to go where you want and stay as long as you like.

Your own vehicle is really the way to go and if camping will be part of your trip, why not choose a campervan instead? This way your room is with you and no need to return each night to a hotel or hostel. Campers come in many sizes but if you have a sentimental yearning for traveling in a nostalgic way, then you want to check out a VW camper van hire.

Visitors to the Cornwall and Devon area can book a van from a former time that offers a gas stove, cool box and sink so all you do is add your food and clothes and bedding can be supplied. Then the open road is yours to discover the coast line of the South West where surfing and beaches can be part of your holiday adventure.

Believe it or not, there are still people who make plans to backpack through Europe each summer. Most of these people travel with another person and some travel in a group. To keep the trip low cost, they won’t rent a car but instead use the public transportation and purchase a rail pass to get from one country to another.

Another way to backpack for less is to stay in a hostel instead of a hotel and they say this is part of the adventure. Hostels can be found listed online in a directory and this is great help for these travelers to plan their journey. If they will be visiting the UK, they can take the ferry from France, Spain or from Holland.

If their trip will be a one-way trek, they will then search for cheap flights online to get them back home. With some basic information, they will be booked for their return, to where they began. The following summer they might do the same thing but take a different route to see other countries and land marks. If you can live out of a your luggage for a few weeks, you too can be a European backpacker.

The city of Malaga located on the southern coast of Andalucia in Spain is a warm, vibrant city which has in many ways been by-passed by the tourism industry which dominates the economy of the Costa del Sol. Malaga has a warm Mediterranean climate, tempered by the sea breezes in summer, and protected from cold by the Sierra Nevada, making it a perfect year round destination.

Malaga has an array of historical buildings including Gibralfaro Castle, Malaga Cathedral and an old town which is one of the best in all of Spain. The artist Picasso was born and lived in Malaga, and his museum is a must for visitors to the city.

The nightlife in Malaga is vibrant with flamenco music, tapas bars and many clubs offering a variety of musical attractions. There is a strong Latin influence throughout the city, and bas and clubs stay open most of the night on Fridays and Saturdays.

If you want to see more of the Costa del Sol, there are good transportation links by rail and bus, and with the A-7 (E15) motorway providing easy access from Malaga airport to all the major Costa del Sol resorts, picking up a hire car at Malaga Airport may be the best option. With a rental car it is possible to take a few days exploring the wonderful interior scenery of Andalucia, as well as visiting the more established resorts such as Marbella, Mijas and Gibraltar.

The perfect time to visit Malaga is from late September to March when temperatures are mild, and prices are at their lowest. There are many low cost airlines operating flights into Malaga, even in the winter months. As many visitors to Malaga will discover, it is a city that you will want to return to again and again.

If you are a fan of boxing then you must be aware of the major event that will happen on the second of July at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko will take on number one contender David Haye in what promises to be a fight that you will never forget. These two competitors have expressed their disrespectful opinions of each other in the press on numerous occasions and now it is finally time to see them in the ring. It is no surprise that people have come from all areas of the world to see this match.

People that live in Edinburgh that want to see this fight are in luck, as there are plenty of ways for them to be there in Hamburg when the match takes place. For those that want to make it there as fast as possible they can travel by plane. British Airways has a ticket for Hamburg from Edinburgh for $956. It is a 1 stop flight with a connection in London.

If you prefer to get a cheaper ticket you can try with Lufthansa and BMI that have flights with 2 stops or more. BMI’s flight stops in Brussels as well as Munich and it provides an economy ticket for $792. A ticket with a flight from Lufthansa costs the same and it has the same connections as BMI. However, the cheapest solution for a flight comes from Air France which has a flight connecting in Paris for just $735.

If you do not want to travel by plane then you can take a bus. There are busses leaving every day from Edinburgh that will reach Hamburg after a few changes. These are in London and Brussels. However, at just £83 for a ticket, it is much cheaper than flying.

If you can’t go for this trip you can always watch Haye vs Klitschko live streaming and enjoy this boxing fight!

It is a fact that women always pack more than they need when they go on holiday. There is a great rule to follow that will help in this area. Women, ask yourself if you will wear it more than three times on holiday? If your answer is no, don’t take it with you. Each piece of clothing you pack should be able to be worn with everything else. Use your imagination and you can travel light and still be able to dress the way you want.

For some women, a little weekend getaway might be with her new guy. Maybe they met on Parship, the UK dating site. Then she will want to pack her little black dress for those nights out and have a few scarves to mix up her look every night.

Lightweight clothes that are durable are the best choice. Poly blend fabrics dry quickly and are less likely to wrinkle than cotton. Shoes that are comfortable for the walking you will do is important and sandals or flats will be perfect if your destination will be warm and sunny. Pack socks that are one-hundred percent cotton so they air dry quickly and stretch lace underwear is another quick dry item.
